Catholic Community on the Jersey Shore
Our Altar Sewing & Crafts Guild was formed in October, 1914, making our group the oldest continuously serving organization in the Parish. We even pre-date St. Catharine School and St. Margaret Church!
We make the linens for the altars, we make the Baptismal bibs for our newly Baptized babies, we make warm hats for newborns and preemies, and we support the Parish and the School with the proceeds from our Craft Fairs. We do a lot with the very few members that we currently have.

The Community Outreach Ministry will be focused helping those in need, starting in our local community to different areas of the globe. Feeding the hungry, helping the sick, assisting the elderly, and cleaning up the community will be simple missions for the start of this transformed ministry.
The C.O.M. is being led by young parishioners, who will be planning fun and exciting parish events to directly help those in need in our local community. This will be a “hands-on” ministry that is looking for others that want to help make a difference. Mary’s Child Pro-Life Ministry consists of members from the parishes of; St. Catharine- St. Margaret, St. Rose, St. Denis, St. Marks, St. Teresa Calcutta, and Holy Innocents.
Mary’s Child Pro-Life Ministry agrees with the Catholic Church that the right to life is the first and most fundamental principle of human rights. As a gift from God, every human life is sacred from conception to natural death. The life and dignity of every person must be respected and protected at every stage and in every condition, and it is our goal to affirm, educate and participate in that defense of human life, particularly from the evils of abortion and euthanasia.
We meet the first Wednesday of every month, and we organize a variety of activities. For more information visit Pro-Life or email Mary Reilly at [email protected]
The Saint Vincent de Paul Society of St. Rose Parish was formed to help people during times of emergency, sudden crisis, or financial difficulty. A small group of parishioners visit people in temporary need of assistance with food or household bills and expenses, and try to respond to their needs. But the primary role of the Vincentian is not to pay the bills, furnish groceries, or clothe someone. The role of the Vincentian is to provide loving and compassionate interest in individuals. If that interest calls for food, clothing or other assistance, so be it. However, it is in loving that the contact with Christ emerges. That contact with Christ is what separates the Society of St. Vincent de Paul from just another social agency.
