CATHOLIC/LUTHERAN DIALOGUE-This fall and spring we will be having discussions based on the video series “The Chosen”. It will be a great opportunity for members of both communities to come together and continue our dialogue of faith using “The Chosen” as our basis for discussion. This fall, we will be focusing on the first four episodes of Season 1, and for Advent we will talk about the Christmas special. Then, in the spring, we will discuss the remaining 4 episodes of Season 1. The videos are available from “The Chosen” app and you can also view them on YouTube. Please view the videos before coming to the discussion. Also, as you are watching the videos, have a notebook and pen by your side to jot down your notes about impressions and questions that arise. Especially: What drew your attention in that episode and why? What was something new you encountered in this drama? What “rang true” and what did not from your experi- ence of reading/hearing of the Gospels? We will meet at 11am and again at 7 pm, so you can pick which time works best for you. All of the morning meetings, at 11am, will be held at Holy Trinity Church Hall. All of the evening meetings, at 7 pm, will be held in the St. Denis cafeteria. Pastor Mary and Fr. Bill will take lead on alternating weeks and “co-host” the discussion. So, mark your calendars! All of our meetings will happen on Wednesdays. We will meet on Wednesday Oct. 20, Nov 3, and Nov 17. So, watch the videos and get ready to have a great conversation that will inspire us as the chosen disciples of Christ in our day and age as we reflect on those chosen by Christ, as seen in this intriguing series.
